Stanford University published the 100,000 most cited scientists who are among the top 2 percent of scientists in the world.
In the research conducted by Stanford University, the ranking was made based on h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to articles in different authorship positions, and scoring of citations based on combined indicator data. In the study, in which scientists were compared in 22 branches of science and 174 sub-branches, many different variables were used to measure academic performance, especially the number of qualified publications, impact values of journals and citation numbers. While making the rankings, performance data throughout the career and during the year were taken into account, based on metrics with and without self-citation and the ratio of citations to cited articles.
7 scientists from our University were included in the list created using the data obtained until the end of 2023. Our faculty members Prof. Dr. Mete Avcı, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tutar, Prof. Dr. Murat Yaylacı, Prof. Dr. Erol Yılmaz, Assoc. Dr. Pınar Mert Cüce, Assoc. Dr. Erdem Cüce and Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Ergin Şahin entered the "Most Influential Scientists" list prepared by taking into account the data of 2024. On the other hand, the scientists who managed to enter the list, where lifelong career data is evaluated our faculty members Prof. Dr. Mete Avcı, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tutar, Prof. Dr. Erol Yılmaz, Assoc. Dr. Pınar Mert Cüce and Assoc. Dr. Erdem Cüce.
